Hao Ren was a typical young man from a small city who was barely making ends meet while living in an old house. However, via a strange turn of events, he becomes a "universe police officer." A problem is developing in his domain, the Dream Plane Universe, as he struggles to oversee a home inhabited by strange, non-human residents that his enigmatic superiors have assigned him.<br><br>As he investigates further, Hao Ren discovers a link between the remnants of a vanished civilization in the Dream Plane and the strange species on Earth. Hao Ren quickly learns that slacking off is no longer an option when long-buried horrors, fallen deities, and ancient cataclysms reappear.

The work centers on Ren Hao, a 23-year-old man who has no job or girlfriend. In order to make ends meet he rents out one of the rooms in his house. While he’s showing Lili, his first tenant, around the house, she’s suddenly attacked by a vampire named Vivian, and Ren Hao notices that Lili is actually a werewolf. As Ren Hao and Lili start living in the same house, Ren Hao is scouted for an organization that maintains order of the parallel universes, and strange creatures one after another become tenants in his house.
