Hanabi (meaning "fireworks") is Hinata's sister and the youngest daughter of the leader of the Hyūga clan, [Hiashi Hyuga](https://anilist.co/character/15039).  She initially​ demonstrated more talent than Hinata at a young age, which led Hiashi to focus more attention on her training to rear her into the next heir of the clan.
