Char is one of the most feared pilots of the Principality of Zeon. During his first battle at Loum, Char was able to destroy five Federation Salamis-class ships on his own. He was given the title of "Red Comet" for his fast movements and his red colored Zaku II. Char had been following the White Base crew throughout the One Year War, U.C. 0079. He met with [Amuro](https://anilist.co/character/1335) several times and engaged in many of the most epic battles in Mobile Suit warfare history.

During the One Year War, Char used predominantly red mobile suits. After the War between the Zeon and the Federation, Char joined the AEUG, ~!under the name Quattro Bajeena, to help them liberate the oppressed colonies from the hands of the Titans. In the AEUG he was an instructor, commander, and later leader of the AEUG after the assassination of the former leader.!~

What would you do if you suddenly found yourself in the middle of a war? Teenager Amuro Ray sees his life shattered when war comes to his home. During the chaos, Amuro finds himself inside the mobile suit Gundam, the Earth Federation's new secret weapon, and he somehow gets it to work. Amuro and the other refugees flee their homeland on the warship White Base. This group of children and inexperienced soldiers will change the outcome of the war.

Tom Edwards is a Canadian actor, playwright and humorist. He has performed in numerous plays and stage acts, he is also a voice actor who works for Blue Water Studios. Edwards is probably best known for providing the voice of Char Aznable and Kyral Mekirel respectively in the English dub of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam and Mobile Fighter G Gundam.

An American voice actor known primarily for his work in anime dubs and video games. Fans of Cartoon Network's Toonami can recognize Blum's voice as TOM, the block's robotic host. He was also the voice of 7-Eleven's "Oh thank heaven" television and radio advertisements.

A veteran of the voice-over business, Steve Blum cut his vocal teeth in the industry, on anime shows like Guyver and Giant Robo, and since has voiced hundreds of diverse characters in productions representing every media imaginable!   Steve's training was highly unorthodox by industry standards. Before voice acting became a full-time profession, Steve worked in a book store, a pet store, an auto-parts store, serviced fire protection equipment, ran a mailroom, drove a delivery truck, managed warehouses, became an international film and video sales/service coordinator, copywriter and marketing executive for a sci-fi film company, an ADR script writer, part-time musician...

But where's the acting experience? All on the job. It started with a few monster growls, then a couple of old men's lines, a hero or two... thousand - and the rest is history. In 1990, Bandai produced the 4 episode OVA series SD Gundam Gaiden. Directed by Tetsuro Amino (Macross 7, SD Gundam's Counterattack), this series is set in the medieval fantasy world Suda Doaka. Once again, popular Gundam characters such as Amuro Ray and Char Aznable are featured in the series, along with fantasy-styled versions of well-known mobile suits. 
In this series, the heroic Knight Gundam and his companions must protect Suda Doaka from the evils of Satan Gundam and Sieg Zeon. Much of the series is set in the Kingdom of Lacroa, which is featured in several SD productions, including the 2003 TV series SD Gundam Force. As is the case with all the older SD productions, SD Gundam Gaiden isn't available in the U.S.

Mobile Suit SD Gundam Mk. II delivers with more tongue-in-cheek humor than the first series. In "The Rolling Colony Affair," a colony is hosting a cabaret show featuring the girls of Gundam. But the show turns disastrous when men and mobile suits go crazy over the girls, sending the colony rolling out of control. A parody of the videogame RPG genre, "Gundam Legend" has Amuro, Kamille and Judau sent on a perilous quest to rescue the princess of the Zeta Kingdom from Char Aznable and his vicious Zeon MS forces.

Featuring a mix of animation media—from traditional cels to 3-D CG rendering to even cel-shaded 2-D animation—these often 3-5 minute shorts cover such events as Domon Kasshu's training (and a bit of a romantic tift with Rain Mikamura) from G Gundam, Amuro Ray battling Quess Paraya from Char's Counterattack, Kamille Bidan training in the Gundam Mk.II from Zeta Gundam, and Canard Pars dueling Prayer Reverie from the Gundam SEED X Astray manga.

During the closing days of the Gryps conflict of Mobile Suit Zeta Gundam, two siblings &mdash; Asagi and Takuya &mdash; ride aboard a civilian transport bound for Earth. The first episode, Aoi Hitomi no Casval, tells the story of Casval Rem Deikun and Artesia Som Deikun (Char and Sayla, before Char became known as the Red Comet) before the One-Year War in UC.0068. 
 
The story for the second episode, Kanashimi no Artesia, moves three years ahead to U.C. 0071. The story will follow the tearful separation of the siblings Casval and Artesia (before they became known as Char and Sayla). It will also feature more of the development of the mobile suits, particularly on the Zeon side. 
 
The third episode, Akatsuki no Houki, follows the youth who would become known as Char Aznable and his future comrade Garma Zabi after they join the Zeons' military academy.

Gundam Gaia Gear is the story of the resistance group Metatron&rsquo;s struggle against the Man Hunting Attachment (MHA) police force of the tyrannical Earth Federation in the year UC 0203. To improve their chances of winning, Metatron creates a memory clone of the legendary Char Aznable. Char Afranche, aged 19 years, assumes command of Metatron and pilots the Gaia Gear Alpha after learning the truth of his origins. 
Gundam Gaia Gear was written by Tomino Yoshiyuki and features mechanical designs [mostly] by Ito Mamoru. Gaia Gear was Tomino&rsquo;s first attempt to portray the 3rd century of the UC universe. Later works by Studio Sunrise have invalidated Gaia Gear and it is now considered a UC side story (when it&rsquo;s remembered at all). Ito&rsquo;s mechanical designs are innovative and hearken back to the days before the "Gundam Look" was set in stone. 
Gundam Gaia Gear first appeared as a serial in the Japanese edition of Newtype Magazine (from April 1987 to December 1991). The story was then collected in five novels that ran from September 1988 to April 1992. It was also a radio drama that was collected on 5 CD&rsquo;s (the first released in November 1992 and the final in July 1993). Two soundtrack CD&rsquo;s accompanied the radio drama. Mechanical designs were featured in the February, March and April 1991 issues of Hobby Japan Magazine.

A direct sequel to Mobile Suit Gundam, and a prequel to Gundam 0083 and Zeta/ZZ Gundam, CDA tells the story of Colonel Char Aznable directly after the One Year War. He heads toward Axis after the battle of A Baoa Qu with the remaining Zeon forces, where he meets a 14-year old Haman Karn, who begins to fall in love with Char.
