Lin is introduced in the first chapter as a young orphaned girl who resides in the village where Ken and Bat are jailed. While working as jailer, Ken befriends Lin, helps her recover her voice by pushing a power point, and later rescues her from Zeed gang. 

Lin follows Ken after he leaves her village, but she ends up being captured by the Golan commandos (Club's gang in the TV series), only to be rescued once again by Ken and from then, she accompanies Ken on his journey alongside Bat. In the latter half of the series, Lin grows into womanhood and becomes leader of the Hokuto Army with Bat. At this point, she learns that she is the estranged twin sister of the Heavenly Empress Lui.

In _Hokuto no Ken Gaiden: Tensai Amiba no Isekai Haou Densetsu_ she is the magic instructor of Amiba, but has the opposite personality than in the main world.

Nuclear war has devastated the planet, turning one fertile ground into a barren, inhospitable landscape on which mankind struggles desperately to stay alive. Society has collapsed and a fight for control wages between vicious dictators, super-powerful mutants, and biker gangs that terrorize the streets.

In the second series after Raoh has been defeated by Kenshiro a new rival appears. The Gentou Kouken warriors. He Who Rides With Me is a special 30th anniversary chapter of Hokuto no Ken, set during the timeline gap between Chapters 136 (the end of the Last Nanto General arc) and 137 (the beginning of the Tentei arc). It was originally published as a two-part story in the May and June 2014 issues of Comic Zenon under the title of Hokuto no Ken: Last Piece and was later collected in Volume 11 of the Extreme Edition (kyūkyokuban) of the manga.

The spin-off manga follows the "genius" Amiba, who can learn any fighting style faster than anyone else. After he is defeated by the original series' protagonist Kenshiro and dies, he wakes up in another world and begins a new adventure.


In the year 199X, the world is engulfed in a nuclear inferno! The seas have vanished. The earth lies in ruins. It seems all life has been wiped out...but humanity has not perished!
