In September 2022, [Tomori announced her diagnosis with Ehlers-Danlos syndrome (EDS) affecting her joints](https://www.kusunokitomori.com/info/archive/?id=546582), which limits her ability to engage in physically demanding activities such as dancing. On January 1st 2026, she announced her marriage to a man outside of the entertainment industry.
